Chef de Partie - Milton Keynes

Talkington Bates are a bespoke contract caterer who are currently recruiting for a Chef de Partie to join the team at our clients in Milton Keynes.

 

With creativity and foodie flair, you will be working in one of our new contracts within a team of seven. You will be creating seasonal, nutritious, delicious food and inspired to contribute with innovative ideas for all aspects of food service.

You will be part of a team that will be providing breakfast and lunches for approximately 600 people. As the Chef de Partie, you will be preparing, cooking and presenting dishes to a high standard, with a high knowledge of hygiene, compliance, food safety. Being a great team player, you will be comfortable whether in a customer facing role with a live theatre or salad sation, or cashier working of a till if required in order to provde a seamless customer experience. We will provide a chef development and training programmes. The ideal applicant would need to be able to provide our guests a first-class customer experience from the moment that they step into our premises to the moment they vacate.​

Location: Milton Keynes, MK17 7AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Hours of Work: 37.5 per week

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: £25,000

Holidays: 28 days holiday per annum plus Bank/Public Holidays.

Previous experience of working in a similar environment would be an advantage, but more importantly is a ‘can do’ attitude and a will to succeed. The ideal candidate will be;

  • Passionate about delivering great food and a willingness to work in a dynamic ever evolving kitchen

  • A proven track record and shown loyalty throughout their career

  • Have a good level of knowledge and an understanding of modern food preparation techniques

  • Commitment to delivering consistent first-class service

  • A can-do attitude, hands on approach and the ability to work well under pressure

  • Good organisational skills and the ability to multitask

  • 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role

Duties will include general kitchen work such as food prep, running service, and cooking with fresh ingredients amongst others. Progression and furthering your career in hospitality is available with this role.
