Customer Service Host - Basildon

We have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant, to join our team in the City of London.

Previous experience would be an advantage, though full training will be available for the right applicant.

Location: Basildon, Essex: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Hours of work: 9.30am-3.30pm (30 min unpaid break), 27.5 hours (Monday- Friday)

Salary: £11.00 per hour,

Talkington Bates are a bespoke contract caterer who are currently recruiting for a customer service host to join the team at our clients in Basildon, Essex.

With great customer service and front of house skills, you will be working in one of our new contracts within a team of seven, making sure counters and fridges are full of delicious food and drinks and kept clean at all times.

You will be part of a team that will be providing breakfast and lunches for approximately 600 people. You will be attentive to customers’ requirements and communicate well with your manager and team. Being highly organised and having a positive outlook, you enjoy giving seamless service, with high standards of hygiene, compliance, food safety. We provide training and support for you to thrive. The ideal applicant is passionate about providing first class service to our guests which comes as second nature.

We are looking for someone who is;

  • Be interested of current food trends and an eye for detail

  • Be a team player with a desire to succeed

  • Have a high-level of work cleanliness

  • Be a proven and hands-on customer service host

  • Work well under pressure with a calm, mature and professional approach

  • Be IT literate with basic tasks such as signage and labelling

  • Possess an organised and structure approach to all aspects of the business

  • Support manager with administration and bookwork
