Talkington Bates are a bespoke contract caterer who are currently recruiting for a Sous Chef to join the team at our clients in Basildon, Essex, SW143WF

 

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for experienced and enthusiastic Support Chef Manager’s, to join an outstanding food-based contract caterer which is growing all the time. Talkington Bates are enthusiastic and passionate about fabulous food, fresh ingredients and going the extra mile with excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate for this role will be passionate, dedicated, has prior experience at this level and be able to demonstrate the following attributes:

• Be a proven, effective team leader who can collaborate with multiple teams

• Ability to create and prepare new recipes and dishes which are ahead of current trends within the industry

• Work well under pressure with a calm, mature and professional approach

• Be innovative and creative with a desire to succeed

• Ensure health and safety regulations are rigorously observed

• Oversee and train your team to produce consistent high-quality food

• Maintain correct stock levels and build relationships with our suppliers

• Manage on site administration, cash control and banking

• Be I.T. literate with financial acumen and effective food cost control

• Must have own transport and competent driving in London

• Good standard of English Language skills; written & spoken

 

Location: Home Counties, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire

Job Type: Full-time or Part-time Permanent

Hours of Work: 40 hours (8 hour, Day shifts)

Salary: Up to £32,000.00 per annum

Holidays: 20 days holiday per annum plus Bank/Public Holidays
