Borneo: They’ve made it!

Thanks to technology and despite a limited network access in the jungle, we’ve just received a text message from Janice Talkington and Paul Bates, confirming they made it to the top of Mount Kinabalu on Thursday 28th March, then spent 3 days in the village of Dunsun Sangai helping with the School Build Project.

Yesterday they trekked 20km down to return to the base of the mountain where they’re now having a well-deserved rest, ready for tomorrow when they will journey back through the jungle to Kota Kinabalu for a traditional celebration and goodbye dinner.

Flying out Thursday 4th April, they should arrive back Friday morning, when I’m sure they’ll update us all fully on their adventure.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far; we have still got quite a bit of fundraising to go, so please to donate to the Springboard Charity if you can. If you wish to show your support please head to https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/paulandjanicecharitytrek to donate online
