Wellbeing Awareness Week: A Celebration of Wellbeing and Sustainability

What a fantastic week of wellbeing activities in collaboration with our client team at our site in Milton Keynes! From nutritious swaps to interactive sessions, our Healthy Eating Week was packed with delicious food, educational experiences and sustainability-focused initiatives.

A Week of Wellness

Throughout the week, we showcased a variety of nutritional swaps to help fuel our customers’ days, offering complimentary hydration, tasters and fresh fruit. Informative wellness messaging was displayed across the site, highlighting the benefits of a balanced diet. To further support our commitment to the planet, we introduced sustainable food alternatives—sourced both locally and globally—brought to life with a touch of spice by our talented chefs, Pavan and Gloria.

Interactive Learning and Engaging Activities

One of the highlights of the week was a Lunch & Learn session with our Chef Director, Jack, focusing on food waste upcycling. He shared valuable insights on reducing food waste, repurposing ingredients and making the most of every meal.

To keep the energy levels high, we wrapped up the week with a fun and engaging activity—cycling on our smoothie-powered bikes, blending delicious and nutritious drinks while learning fun health facts!

Daily Highlights

  • Monday: Buddha bowls and fresh sushi — packed with vibrant vegetables and nutrient-rich ingredients.

  • Tuesday: Pavan’s ‘Healthier’ Indian Biryani — featuring brown rice, less oil, and extra vegetables.

  • Wednesday: Jack’s No Waste Pop-Up — offering potato bread, protein balls, fish cakes with less fish, and a healthier take on Jollof rice.

  • Thursday: Smoothie bikes combined with exciting nutritional facts to educate and entertain.

  • Friday: Healthy Fish Friday — featuring fresh salmon on crushed minted peas and sea bass with Mediterranean vegetables.

Small Changes, Big Impact

To encourage healthier choices, we provided a piece of fresh fruit with every meal, maintained a hydration station throughout the week and offered a healthy salad bar daily. Our dishes were thoughtfully prepared using less oil, brown rice instead of white rice and an increased focus on vegetables and pulses.

Even our desserts followed the theme—our chocolate and beetroot brownies were a hit! Alongside them, we displayed a visual representation of sugar content in popular beverages, encouraging more informed choices.

A Step Towards a Healthier Future

Wellbeing Awareness Week was a true success, highlighting how small changes can make a big difference. By incorporating healthier swaps, educational experiences and sustainability-driven initiatives, we’ve inspired our customers to embrace a more balanced and eco-friendly lifestyle.

Here’s to more weeks filled with nutritious food, wellness, and sustainability!
